Welcome to the Temple Bookstore Online.

The Temple Bookstore has gotten a face lift. We've trimmed down our inventory but you'll notice there are a number of new features here at the Temple Bookstore. Our featured items change week to week. Thanks to our man in Korea, Jack Large's efforts, you'll find a number of videos of your favorite Temple poets reading. We've also integrated links through out the site to our historical endeavor, The Poets Encyclopedia. So look around, buy some books, and check back often. There's always something new to see at the Temple Bookstore. You can order books with your credit or debit card through Paypal or order the old fashion way by printing this PDF Order Form.

The Poets Encyclopedia

The intention of the Poets' Encyclopedia is to provide an indefinitely expanding encyclopedic resource on contemporary human poetics; particularly that of independent and small press poets born after 1935. Each artist has a page with a short factual biography, bibliography, and in some cases a brief sampling of their work. Likewise, periodicals, publishers, and historical events also have pages featuring similar information. Also on each page are the reviews, essays, and/ or impressions of the featured poet that have been submitted by our contributors. The information on Poets' Encyclopedia is provided by contributors all over the world. These people provide us with relevant biographic and bibliographic information, reviews, essays, poetry, and links. Anyone who wishes to contribute an article or correct one we?ve posted here is encouraged to do so. Submissions are reviewed before they are posted. The Poets' Encyclopedia will not post any material that is irrelevant, racist, sexist, libelous, or poorly written.

The Temple Bookstore pays the bill for this endeavor and we've integrated links to the bios of poets through our site. So if you click someones name and you jump away to a biography, take a moment to soak in the lives of poets.

Video Evidence...

...of great poetry. Thanks to Jack Large, our man in Korea's tireless efforts, the Temple has access to dozens of videos of our poets reading, talking, signing, dancing, and wandering. Scattered throughout the site are YouTube videos and here on the main page you'll find a new featured video every week. This week we're featuring Stephen Thomas, reading at the Walla Walla Poetry Party in 2003. Check back for more videos, or visit Jack's YouTube website.
